All purchases are non-refundable.  Only exchanges will be accepted as detailed in the Returns section of our store policy.

Custom Items:
Custom items on our website cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled.  However, we will exchange your item within 10 days of receipt if it is found to be defective or if the wrong color was sent in error.  All personalized items (with larger rod pocket, liner, size option, color combination option, etc.) are considered to be custom items.

Damages:
If an item looks damaged, please contact us by email as soon as possible.  We will do our best to send you a replacement as soon as possible. 

Returns for Replacement & Exchange:
All purchases are non-refundable.

If you are returning an item due to damage or wrong item, you may return your item for exchange within 10 days of receipt.  We only accept returns after a valid return authorization number was issued.  The customer remains responsible for outbound shipping charges even when an item was originally shipped free of charge.  Please ship your package UPS or insured parcel post to insure that your package arrives free of damages. 

We will be more than happy to exchange your returned product after we have received and inspected the unused returned item.  We appreciate it if all items that are returned are in the same, unused condition they were sent.  All items that have been returned for exchanges will undergo inspection.  Exchanges will be decided upon thereafter.  We will not exchange or return products that are not in the same condition that they were sent in.  

Return Authorization Number:
To request a return authorization number, please contact us at shop@valancestation.com.  Make sure you include your name, Google or PayPal address, product name, order number (if available), order date, and reason for return.  We will contact you with a return authorization number and the address where you need to ship the item.  We will not accept a return if an authorization number wasn’t issued.

Cancellations:
At ValanceStation.com we try to ship our products as soon as possible.  For this reason, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order after it has been placed.  If you contact us by email within 24 hours, we will try our best to accommodate you.  Once your order has been processed, it will be handled the same way as an exchange.  Refused shipments will be considered as exchanges as well.

Shipping & Shipping Time:
Items at ValanceStation.com are usually free of shipping charges.  Shipping and completion of items are based on quantities and fabric availability.  An email notice will be sent informing buyers of any back orders and expected ship dates.  Our estimated shipping time is generally 1 week.  However, during peak shipping seasons, shipping times may be delayed approximately 1 to 3 weeks longer than usual.

Online Purchases:
Our customers' privacy and security is our number one priority.  We only accept payment through Google or Paypal so you can feel safe in using the convenience of ordering online with the knowledge that your valuable credit information is protected.

Our goal, as a small, family-owned business, is to provide our customers with high quality and yet reasonably priced products that are hand-made in the United States.  We buy all of our textiles and industrial sewing machinery from United States based textile companies and local industrial sewing machine companies.  Managing our small business within this local network allows us to run our business with fewer hassles, less energy, and significantly less waste.  This, in turn, allows us to pass the savings on to our customers in the form of low prices.

To be certain of color and fabric type, please contact us at shop@valancestation.com for swatches of the actual fabric used.  Any one of our staff will be happy to mail you up to 5 different swatches for the price of an ordinary envelope and stamp.
